When no one came forward to claim the cub, Ping adopted Po as his son. Ping for answers, and the goose reveals that he found Po, as an infant, in a shipment of radishes outside his restaurant. When the Wolf Boss raids the Musicians' Village, Po and the Five intercept him however, a symbol on his armor gives Po a flashback of his mother. Meanwhile, Po is enjoying his new role as a Kung Fu Master alongside the Furious Five, though Master Shifu warns him he has not yet achieved inner peace. Some decades later, Shen and his wolf army start to raid villages for scrap metal. Horrified by the genocide, Shen's parents banish him.

It grossed $665 million worldwide against its $150 million budget, becoming the highest-grossing film directed by a female director until Frozen (2013), as well as the highest-grossing film solely directed by a female director until Wonder Woman (2017). The film was released in theaters on May 26, 2011, in 2D, RealD 3D, and Digital 3D, and received very positive reviews from critics. In the film, Po and his allies (Tigress, Monkey, Viper, Crane, Mantis) travel to Gongmen City to stop the evil peacock Lord Shen from conquering China, while also rediscovering Po's forgotten past.
Directed by Jennifer Yuh Nelson (in her feature directorial debut), the film stars Jack Black, Angelina Jolie, Dustin Hoffman, Seth Rogen, Lucy Liu, David Cross, James Hong, and Jackie Chan reprising their character roles from the first film, with Gary Oldman, Michelle Yeoh, Danny McBride, Dennis Haysbert, Jean-Claude Van Damme, and Victor Garber voicing new characters. The film is the sequel to Kung Fu Panda (2008) and the second installment in the Kung Fu Panda franchise. Lastly, i believe that Oogway is the best animated character ever rendered, his facial expressions are hilarious and-surpass any previous attempts to give a character convincing facial expressions (i consider Gollum to be a CG character, not an animated character, for the record).Kung Fu Panda 2 is a 2011 American computer-animated martial arts comedy film produced by DreamWorks Animation and distributed by Paramount Pictures. they invest their characters with an energy (Black) and dignity (hoffman) that i could not find any fault with, even if i wanted to, not that i want to. while playing their parts in a very different manner to each other, both are note perfect. having said that, the movie rests on the shoulders of jack Black and Dustin Hoffman. i can only remember hearing Jackie Chan's voice 3 times at most. the only bum note in this symphony of fun is the fact that some of the immensely talented voice cast are badly underused. the animation is hugely detailed and achingly beautiful, the script is the best i have come across in years. All the elements are beyond anything i have seen in an Animated movie since The Lion King. Finally Dreamworks have managed to surpass the achievements of Pixar. it is a long, long time since i have heard a Cinema audience laughing so much during a movie ( i think the last time was during Gigli!). I can not recommend this movie highly enough to kids of all ages. I saw this movie in the Cinema last night.
